Fixing crashed WIndows

Many of you might face this really common computer problem throughout their time with Microsoft Windows. It gets corrupt or just starts going bonkers with viruses. So if your computer starts restarting automatically while loading windows, then my friend your Windows just broke down. Luckily it can be repaired or you could just erase your entire hard drive partition and start your work again from scratch. Both of these ways work differently. Repairing windows means that you get to keep all your settings and files while formatting the partition means everything you had in your primary partition will be gone.

Now, to get your computer up and running you need to go in your BIOS (its usually Delete or F12 or F2 button while the computer is booting). So when you get into your BIOS you need to find something called 'Boot Priority' or a similar name. When you get into that you need to make sure your CD Drive is first boot priority, after that save and quit. Your computer will restart automatically and that's the time when you put your Windows CD in. While the computer is booting it will give you an option to boot from CD, to select that you usually need to press any button on the keyboard.

It will start loading the files from the CD, in this time you just usually sit back and wait for magic to happen. When it loads click next or whatever it says to accept the license agreement. After a few unrelated options it will finally give you an option to repair previously installed windows or don't repair. If you choose repair it will guide you to your hard drive partitions where you select the drive on which your Windows operating system is installed. After selecting this you basically just wait for it to load files and then it reboots the system and continues to install files onto your system.

If you click don't repair then it will still guide you towards your hard drive partitions but the difference here is this that you completely delete your partition and then create another one and then you select it for the Windows to install. After selecting this it will ask you the format on which you want your partition to be. Usually I just select NTFS and I'm sure that's what everyone does too because it gives you more security but nevertheless Windows is still vulnerable no matter how much you add security to it. So install Windows the same way as I described before and this whole process will take you around almost an hour. After that your Windows shall boot in the normal way like it used to before.

Hope you learned something from this post and I will ensure my next post will be as useful as this one.
